About Us

Building industrial chamber shelves

Ground Up Innovations is a Massachusetts based engineering services company.  Through our recent project work, we have conducted countless rounds of battery testing in environmental chambers.

Through doing this work, we noticed improvement areas for existing chamber shelves. Restricted by standard shelf clearances and dimensions, we could not fit as many cell test fixtures in the chamber as we needed to. Existing shelves had either too much or too little clearance between them. Furthermore, they did not slide out easily, making it hard for operators to run repeated cycles at a fast rate. On top of that, existing shelves had conductive surfaces, which is dangerous while testing batteries.

We chose to implement our own solution for existing incubators and thermal chambers. Seeing an immediate increase in speed and test efficiency for the teams that we worked with, we decided to continue refining and improving our design. Now, we have combined these improvements into a product that would benefit anyone using environmental chambers or incubators.
